The stairs lead up to two huge 10-foot high oaken doors carved deep with reliefs, symbols and tokens of the past and present, from cultures of the now and long-since dead, that call forth, even from those who are unaware of their meaning, the amplification of inner enlightenment, the grand astonishment at the intertwinement of the self and unknown self, the fulmination of spirit and imagination … the reconciliation and acceptance of all that was once thought contradictory and now finds parallel peace in the heart.

The Gallery of Light and Shadow welcomes those who wish to share images from across the gamut, save those specifically banned in the rules outlined below. Each poster should be seen as having his or her “wing.” Visitors who don’t care to venture down a particular wing can simply squelch that particular poster. There is no need to make a dramatic outburst before the squelch is made and A/all opinions, if not preferred should at least be respected. Commentary, as long as it is at least somewhat constructive or insightful, is encouraged.
Chat among visitors regarding any topic also is encouraged as long as it doesn’t go beyond the limits outlined below.
